This explains how TraderTracked uses cookies and similar technologies (like browser local storage) when you use tradertracked.uk.
| Name / type | Purpose | Essential? |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase auth session token | Keeps you logged in between visits | Yes |
| Stripe checkout session cookies | Set only during checkout, to process your subscription payment | Yes |
| Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) | Counts visits and shows us how people find and use the site (pages viewed, time on site, where visitors come from). Set by Google, kept for up to 2 years. | No — only with your consent |
We don't use any advertising or marketing cookies. Google Analytics is the only optional cookie we use, and it is provided by Google Ireland Limited. See Google's privacy policy.
Under UK PECR rules, cookies that are "strictly necessary" to provide a service you've asked for, like staying logged in or completing a payment, don't need consent. Analytics cookies do, so when you first visit we show a banner and Google Analytics only loads if you click Accept. If you click Reject, no analytics cookies are set.
You can change your choice at any time: open cookie settings.
We use your browser's local storage (not a cookie technically, but similar) to hold some session data and app preferences so the journal loads quickly. This stays on your device and isn't sent anywhere except back to our own servers as part of normal app use.
You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings at any time. Note that blocking the essential session cookie will log you out and prevent the app from working, since it's what keeps you authenticated.
We'll update this page if what we use changes, and update the date above.
